Belal Mobarak is a New York based Portrait and Surrealist Photographer. His passion for taking people’s photographs stems from the process itself. He loves working with people and capturing their essence through portraits. From the initial discussion to the choice of lighting, mood, wardrobe, everything is chosen carefully to create the look and feel the client sees in themselves . You will find the session not only about capturing a perfect photograph but about creating images you and the photographer set out to capture.

Belal’s surrealist work draws on his passion for portraits and literature to challenge concepts of masculinity, moral issues, and societal constructs to tell stories through visual art. Belal’s conceptual work combines artistic techniques and his reflections from the literature he studies to critique human conditions, societal constructs, morals and religion. While each image has a unique message, they are linked by the use of earth tone palettes, simplistic wardrobe, and their painterly aesthetic.
